I have been producing my Fine Hydrocal Casting and Kits for
model railroaders for 24 years. Hydrocal is a dense castable gypsum cement
(similar to Plaster of Paris) in which I have artistically carved, scribed and
cast masonry detail to very precise scale. Inside this site you'll find information
on the resulting castings and kits, and much much more.

I'm shamefully way behind on the Durango Roundhouse On3 project.
In order to get it complete and into production I cannot take any new casting orders
at this time. Sorry, I've just got to do this. There are several dozen on order and
they have been waiting very patiently for over two years.
Note that the new NP Hotel is in stock and in production so
please feel free to order it. Or anything in the Builders In Scale line.
If you would like to reserve other items "in advance" you can do so,
but understand that it may be several months before I can deliver. This can be done
by e-mail or with the shopping cart (use non-PayPal payments, as PayPal transfers
your funds immediately).

Our shop will be closed Friday, Sept. 5th, reopening Tuesday the 23rd
so we can take a little vacation after we
attend the National Narrow Gauge Convention in Portland, Oregon.

On3 PATTERNS NOW COMPLETE!
The patterns and molds are complete, we're finishing up the
pilot model which was on display as a work in progress at the Durango narrow gauge
convention, with production soon to follow. This is the most amazing model in itself,
and its available as a kit! "You gotta be kidding me", to quote Bob Brown of the Narrow
Gauge and Shortline Gazette. No we are not. Check it out.

My apologizes that this has taken so long. One look at the
model and you will understand why. What was I thinking? No matter, we are working
on getting the final details completed and the kits moving out the door.

I'm just completing the rejuvenation of the Apple Storage House
kits, same in Orange, and The Fruit Row series. These have been unavailable for several
years but we are expecting a bumper crop this year after all that rain!

HERRINGBONE BRICK PLATFORMS
I've had my Herringbone Brick castings available for some time,
but always knew I needed to do them in a diagonal pattern as commonly seen of the
Northern Pacific and other railroads. Well, the wait is over. Here they are in HO.
The set includes four 8" long castings (60 scale feet), one each 6, 8, 12 and 16
scale feet wide. The casting are curbed (treat as stone or concrete) and one scale
foot thick. Easily cut them to fit your favorite depot today.

Well, it was a few versions ago. Not that Internet Explorer is
the greatest web browser- but this site was carefully built to best be viewed
there. Unfortunately, not all web browsers are built the same and it looks pretty
awkward with Netscape Navigator and Apple's Safari. "Not my fault." Well, that's
what happens when you don't follow the simple rules of HTML. What You See- Isn't
Necessarily What You Get! But we sure tried...
