This is the one that started it all, my Hydrocal modeling that is. This image appeared in Chuck Wood's GN Pictorial, published by PFM, the bible of GN RRing. I fell in love with this building and somehow figured out how to build a model with just this one image.

I love these exaggerated postcards. They are great fun.
I want to make a whole model train full of them! Don't steal my idea though.

Or how about this one? Look close and you will see that it is a large hollowed out log that has been turned into a cage with a live bear in it! This would make a great model too.

   Welcome to my postcard reference section!

   I love postcards! I've got a bunch of them. I started off collecting them as a kid. There were a handful of vintage hand-me-downs and I would buy extras for myself on family trips and vacations. More recently I have been adding vintage railroad postcards and folders to the collection. There is just something about those old linen lithographs that I really love and appreciate.
It's a lost art for sure!
