The Concrete Cream House. A three-quarter view line drawing of a small three-story concrete building.

CONCRETE CREAMERY HOUSE

THREE-STORY TRACK SIDE INDUSTRY

Introducing a series of track side industries for your railroad.

The Concrete Cream House is three stories tall and 4-1/2" deep, plus a small shipping platform. It is only 2 1/2" wide so it can fit into a narrow track side space yet because of its height it will stand out as a point of interest on your railroad empire.

No specific prototype. Its generic design will fit a variety of needs. Actually, I designed this to replace the plastic embossed stone section of another manufacturer's creamery kit. It appeared that it could stand on its own so I released it as a simple kit.

Kit includes White Hydrocal poured concrete walls with board impressions. White metal doors and windows from our own shops. And step-by-step instructions for perfect results.

18' x 32' ( 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" ) in HO scale

ON-LINE HOW TO CLINICS

  Coloring CONCRETE
Really it is pretty simple. A little ink wash and some colorants. Check out how I do it.

  Coloring BRICK
My favorite techniques for coloring and mortaring brick. Well, it's no secret. Full instructions are included in each kit and I explain it on-line, just click.

  Coloring STONE
How does he do that? Well, here's how. With a little practice you can too.

SCRATCH-BUILDING STOCK

  Concrete Retaining Wall
Whole 4" x 8" panels of the stuff. Use them for retaining walls, foundations, even make complete buildings like I have here.

  Cinder Block Wall
Mix it up a bit and you'll have an even more interesting building.

  Standard Common Brick- fine
If you like to scratch-build or just practice before you do, check out my stock castings. These are the same building blocks I use to create all of my kits.

  Herringbone Brick- fine
Here's the perfect pavement for around your new depot!

COMPLEMENTARY KITS

  Fruit Industry Kits
Some of these interesting buildings are rendered in concrete.

  The Original Cascade Tunnel Portal
And there are lots of other items available in concrete.

The Safety Hook & Ladder Co.
  Brick Firehouse

How about this little two-story firehouse? It's the prefect introduction to Hydrocal brick structures. If you are afraid to tackle the larger kits why not start here? You will find that Hydrocal modeling is lots of fun.

  The Stone Shingle Mill
is a great introduction to modeling stone in Hydrocal. This is one of my personal favorites, and indeed, one of my most popular kits.
